Todd Elliott is the Embedded Systems Developer with WSU CPAS. He leads the design, development and testing of new sensor and telemetry technology for use in research to support precision agriculture. He designs, integrates and implements digital, analog, and RF prototype circuits and assemblies, and develops embedded firmware and application software to support WSU-CPAS proprietary technologies. Mr. Elliott also provides technical expertise and support to CPAS research staff including students, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, and make important technical contributions for competitive grant proposals, presentations, and research publications.
Prior to joining WSU CPAS, Mr. Elliott was an Engineering Technician working on the WSU Public Agricultural Weather System (PAWS). He developed and implemented a dynamic web site for researchers and growers to access the PAWS data and scientific models in real-time online. His development utilized leading edge open-source technologies including the Linux operating system, Java servlet technology, and MySQL database engines to provide graphical and raw-data access to subscribers for the first time.
