Center Staff
The Center for Precision Agricultural Systems (CPAS) is an administrative unit within the College of Agriculture, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) at Washington State University. However, unlike core university departments, CPAS does not have its own faculty. Rather CPAS relies on research collaborations with faculty and scientists from WSU and other public and private institutions.
The Center is directed by Dr. Francis J. Pierce who is also a faculty member in the Departments of Crop and Soil Sciences and Biological Systems Engineering.
The center staff includes four additional positions:
Assistant Director, with responsibilities in remote sensing and GIS, Eileen M. Perry
Assistant Research Professor, Dr. Michio Kise
Embedded Systems Analyst, with responsibilities in hardware and software development, Todd V. Elliott
Post Doctoral Research Associate, Stephen L. Young
Fiscal Specialist I, with responsibilities in CPAS administrative operations, Linda S. Fleming
