Dr. Kise earned his PhD in Agricultural and Biological Engineering in 2002 from Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan. He has worked at the National Agricultural Research Center, Sapporo, Japan and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL on various aspects of autonomous vehicle guidance. His most recent work with USDA-ARS in Georgia focused on multi-spectral imaging and machine vision systems for poultry and food safety inspection. Dr. Kise joined the Center for Precision Agricultural Systems November of 2007 and will be developing automation technology for precision agriculture.
